Hello my darlings, another lifestyle post coming your way today. At this point I’m wondering if I shouldn’t just call this a lifestyle blog –Lol!. But the current state of play is only because I’m travelling, visiting and meeting up with family, friends and very interesting people; it’s hard not to want to document that. Once I get back home and things settle back into a routine life, I’ll be posting more fashion posts than anything else, especially since my life is not that interesting 😉
This December was lovely because hubby and I visited England his homeland where his whole family resides. Hubby left for the US as a teenager so he’s been living abroad for a long time now –One thing is true, Brits never lose their accents; hubby still has a very strong one.
We stayed with hubby’s sister, Karen (second left), who is the oldest and the nerve center for the family. Hubby is the last born with three older sisters. Yes, he is the spoilt little B…rother… What? What did you think I was going to say?! –Lol! No, for real y’all, my husband is amazing, responsible, dedicated, a true gentleman.
Lynn (second from right) is the second born and the quiet one. We visited them up in Watford (1st picture) with her two daughters and a family friend, Elliot.
Mandy’s (2nd from left) name is really Chatty-Mandy –Lol! She might get me for this! She has two lovely teenaged boys and she loves Elvis the musician, that’s about all I can say to sum her up.
My sisters-in-law are warm and quite indulgent. We actually shot a YouTube video, which I imagine will be up on my channel once I jump-start it, hopefully early this year.
We drove to the seaside town on Worthing to visit my parents-in-law. It’s that kind of tranquil place that makes you wonder if you’ll be lucky enough to settle into your retirement (your what? you ask…) in a cozy seaside cottage by the fireplace; life is beautiful here.
I lost my dad in June 2014 so this is special. Having a father is important to me. Having one as loving as my dad was is an added bonus, which is what this relationship represents. My daddy was amazing, so is Steve’s dad, though they both lived far from us. Still, lucky me, I’ve learnt to count my blessings where I find them.
I have been blessed with the most amazing family-in-law twice over. I’m aware that not everybody is as lucky, so again, I count my blessings. They are the most amazing people I know, fiercely loyal, ever loving, eternally dedicated, non-judgmental, accommodating, I could go on forever, but you get the picture -right?
Then there’s this little princess, her name is Jessica and she is Karen’s last born. In addition to being sweet and kind, she loves math and can calculate circles around the best of us. Don’t we just love her in her school uniform here? Cute!
Soon again my darlings, bye!!
I surely would. More so, there is a possibility we shall in the near future
Thanks for replying, and nice to touch base again. Lucky you! It’s still a coin toss for me, so one step at a time I guess. Would your move be to your hubby’s native?
You look so radiant on the pictures. You were obviously having a great time in a company of sweet and caring people. I was wondering… would you ever like to move to UK?
Hi Olga, sorry -better late than never! we have considered it a lot, it’s still in the cards as a possibility. You, would you ever?
