It’s been a lovely few days being home with my loved ones. Spring has sprung some lovely sunshine and our spirits are lifted. I think everybody loves spring because it’s a time of rebirth, a season of new beginnings. What winter subdues, spring awakens back to life. The birds chirp and animals come out of hibernation.
My mood is affected by the season, something I find very strange; the cold makes me somewhat crabby, I admit. Hence all this talk about ‘one day’ moving down to Miami Florida where every season is summer. The problem is that the summer here makes hubby, well, crabby; he can’t stand the sweltering heat. Go figure.
We are in agreement about the East Coast being too cold for me and somewhat oppressive for him, so Florida has always been our goal ‘one day’. That ‘one-day’ is usually every year as soon as the bitter winter cold starts to bite. Come spring, then it doesn’t seem so bad afterall.
That ‘one-day’ will come someday, then we will move down South to Florida. Or to the warmer West Coast, an alternative I recently tabled just to complicate it further –Lol!
But for now, we stay put as we work on lining up our ducks in a row, even as we wait for the stars to align for us.
