March has been quite an interesting month. I barely worked at all so I was home for 2/3rds of it. The snow storms played a number on us on the East Coast while most of Europe was visited by the ‘beast from the East’ that saw temperatures plunge.
Lucky for me, my baby sister, Terry, came to visit again and we had lots of fun together, burning the candle at both ends and laughing late into the night. The weather was a bummer though as the snowstorm saw to it that her flight to Florida got cancelled so her journey had to be re-routed from New York City’s JFK instead. That put a bit of a damper on things, wondering for days what the snow would do and how it would affect her itinerary.
Still, we managed to have quite a bit of fun in spite of that. We went to the cinema to watch Black Panther together, which was the third time for both of us to visit Wakanda Land –in 3D of course.
Back home, we spent some time capturing some beautiful moments by way of photography, a favourite pastime of mine. I must have been a Set Director/ Art Director/ Creative Director in a past life coz I have so much fun directing shoots, styling the subject, instructing on poses, angles, lighting, etc. It makes me want to dabble in photography seriously, but the way my life is structured right now, I just don’t see how that will work, what with me being gone all the time…
Also, according to Terry, there is possibly a fashion stylist hidden in me because I apparently pick out the best outfits for shoots, and I seem to intuitively know how to accessorize to pull a look together. Well, I’ll just bask in that for a moment longer 🙂 I guess it’s normal for someone who designs fashion to know which outfits will go well together and what accessories would pull the look together. It makes me want to practice more things to do with fashion, but the way my life is structured right now –you see a theme developing?
I feel I’m spread out too thin right now to even just live my best life, let alone, practice my craft. So my priority is to first consolidate my ‘scattered’ life them maybe the haze can lift and I can breathe a little easier and start to streamline my activities, line up my ducks so to speak.
